Goodyear has an exclusive contract to produce racing tires for NASCAR, which raises the question why an American institution like NASCAR is totally dependent on a company that is moving jobs out of North America and into countries like China, Colombia, Slovenia and Poland. While shutting plants here, Goodyear since 2004 has invested $150 million in overseas plants where workers are paid less than 50 cents an hour.
