Street Heat
Street Heat is the mobilizing committee of the Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council. It is composed of representatives of eight to ten local unions. The committee meets on an as needed basis.
The purpose of Street Heat is to provide union support to workers who request it. Committee members contact their volunteers with information and encouragement to attend the action. An action can be a local union having difficulty with contract negotiations and requests Street Heat to provide greater public exposure of the issues. Other times workers are trying to form their own union or attempting to negotiate a first contract.
Street Heat needs the participation of all area local unions to provide maximum support for our union sisters and brothers in need. For more info :
