Brothers and Sisters,

 

Last Thursday, the New Bedford labor community joined with UNITE HERE! and Eagle workers to support the city council as it took decisive action to keep Eagle Industries in New Bedford. 

The rally was a huge success and would not have been possible without the efforts of the Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council and local union members who spread the word and showed up at city hall to support fellow workers in spite of bad weather. 

 On behalf of UNITE HERE! and the Eagle Industries Organizing Committee, I want to thank the New Bedford labor community for its support and let the Labor Council and its member unions know that we will always be happy to stand with them in future struggles.
