The union contract uniting more than 70,000 Verizon workers on the east coast expires at midnight on August 2nd.

Telecom workers are fighting for a union contract that would ensure good wages, quality health care, and secure pension benefits. Members are also fighting for the jobs of the future, as Verizon transitions from a traditional phone company to a high tech provider of video, internet and wireless communications.

Through more than 35 years of collective bargaining, telecom workers have achieved secure jobs with good wages and they won't go backwards! Join Verizon workers in rallying for a fair contract that preserves these hard earned gains.
