BCC's New Bedford Campus is offering ESOL/ABE/GED classes free of charge. These courses are offered through the generous donation of The Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Charitable Foundation. Participants may choose to take ESOL/ABE classes or GED classes or both. Participants taking GED classes can choose to take instruction in English or Spanish and will take the GED test in that same language.
In addition to classroom instruction, we are offering a self-paced computer laboratory. In this laboratory, students interested in improving their English language skills and/or studying for the GED exam can drop in, sign onto a computer, and work at their own level and at their own pace.
There will be an instructor on hand to help assess and guide students as they advance to the various levels of instruction. This laboratory is open to those at ESOL Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced level as well as to those who are preparing for the GED. Students can choose to attend classes or work in the laboratory at their own pace, or do both.
