The Joint Standing Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies has scheduled its hearing on destination resort casinos for Tuesday March 18^th at 10 a.m. in Gardner Auditorium. A rally will be held at 9 a.m. near the State House, exact location TBA.

WHERE:               The State House, Gardner Auditorium

We urge you to consider attending this hearing, and we also ask that you please help us mobilize members to attend the rally outside the State House prior to the hearing.

The first part of our affiliate union plan was to send letters requesting a timely hearing. Since that has been scheduled, we'd ask you to skip that step, and instead send letters to members of the Committee requesting that they vote favorably on destination resort casinos during the Committee process. Also, please consider sending a letter to legislators to request that they appear in person or provide written testimony in favor of destination resort casinos at the hearing. Please send us copies of any letters you send so we can keep track of the reach of our campaign.
